Thanks so much to all the absolute sick lords who came down to watch our last show of the year on Saturday as we supported USA heavyweights Black Tusk. It was a sick night, they put on such a rad show and we're stoked with how much the punters enjoyed our set as well. Thanks again to everyone for making it such great night for us helping with gear and our merch and also a huge thanks to LIFE IS NOISE & Tusk for having us on the bill, we're stoked to have been a part of it. We'll chuck some footage up over the coming months of the shows we've been doing and maybe some updates on the new stuff as it all comes together. Well, sorry about the huge delay on the website here guys, hopefully everyone caught on that we were kinda busy and just jumped on the facebeak page instead for news for a while, anyways, time for an update!
So we've been playing a lot of cool shows this year again and managed to make it back down to Melbourne for some rad times! Been working on some new tunes (which we've been trying live at the moment) for a new release later in the year, if not early next at the latest (we hope). We did a bunch rad of shows with such rocking acts as... King Parrot, The Sigit, Nunchukka Superfly, the Dead Rats, Holy Serpent, Sumeru, A Basket of Mammoths, Space Junk, Master_Beta, Merchant, Borrachero, Rigasaurus, Narla, Love Buzz, Smitty & B.Goode, Jungle City and many, many more... Oh!... and we got to support Truckfighters again for their return tour in January, which was fucking awesome...
Safe to say it's been a pretty kick arse 6months of shows and we're keen for the next 6 months coming up!... Fingers crossed on that new release!

NEWS, NEWS & MORE NEWS!
So we're a bit behind but HAPPY NEW YEAR guys and gals! Thanks so much for the epic support in 2015, we had an amazing year and some super cool times playing with so many awesome bands such as Truckfighters, Hard-Ons, HY-TEST, The Meanies, Nunchukka Superfly, BRUCE, DEAD, Captives, The Scam, Broozer, Bloody Kids, Swine, skinpin, Kaleidoscope, Gay Paris, Lint, The Dead Rats, MEAT CAKE, The Culture Industry, Black Heart Breakers & many, many more!!! The 'Astonishing Tales of...' LP was received really well (not many left) and we can't wait to get a new release happening in 2016!...
We did unfortunately hit a bit of a speed bump mid-way through the year with the Wog deciding to take a chance and head overseas to Italy for an INCREDIBLE career opportunity! So once again he gets a rest, while he funnily enough works his arse off over there! So proud of him and as always, never know what the future holds...
...and on that note, we'd like to WELCOME Mr. Bones to the fuzz family!!! He's been shredding the last 4 or 5 shows with us and it's been a cracker! Really stoked to have him jump on board and continue the wall of fuzz with us as 2016 is looking to be fantastic with some rad times. here's some pics from the recent shows!...

NEW DEMOS
So we've been working super hard on demoing some new material the last few weeks, which obviously means a new release is in the works as well! Not 100% as of yet if it will be an EP or an LP. We can't wait to get this new stuff recorded though, there's a lot of energy on these new tracks. We've got a bunch of the 'Astonishing Tales of' LP's left from the launch tours, so it's time to flog them off to fund the next one! We don't really do distro stuff etc, so you can really only get this from us direct online or at shows. Once these go, they're gone. It's a bargain. 180gm LP with CD and Download code, Postcard, a bunch of stickers and a badge! A tasty little pack, that's for sure. CD's have been reduced... After losing access to our Facebook page in MAY, we have FINALLY re-gained access to our own band page (that was essentially being held ransom for personal information that was then denied time and time again). Hooray!... and all just in time for some awesome news! Gigs, new material and a whole bunch more coming soon!

Well we've finally finished Round 2 of the 'Astonishing Tales of..." LP launch tour and we couldn't be more stoked with how it all went!!!
HUGE thanks to all the punters for attending and having so many nice things to say. We're so happy to have seen so many repeat new faces from the January run! All the awesome bands for playing with us and of course anyone who has been involved in helping organise the shows! It's truly amazing how many incredible bands, musicians & new fans we have gotten to know over these shows, It really does make the hard work well worth the effort!
It goes without saying that every band absolutely killed it on this run! Be sure to check out Nunchukka Superfly, HY-TEST, Gay Paris, Kaleidoscope,The Berkshire Hunting Club, MEAT CAKE, skinpin, Just Ace, LINT, The Dead Rats, Rick Dangerous and the Silkie Bantams, D'LUNA and anyone else we've missed (sorry, it's been a super long weekend)... WOW! So it's safe to say that we have had an absolute blast on our launch tour and it was a huge success for us!
GIGANTIC thanks to everyone who bought our merch and said wonderful things to us - there was a lot of you and It's so heartwarming to know that so many fans (new and old) enjoyed all the shows so much… we've truly never felt so welcomed before when playing gigs.

We managed to play 10 shows in 3 different states, travelled over 5000km's with all our gear, sold an absolute truckload of merch, shared our home with the 3 coolest swedes on the planet (and the most awesome band mama around) and got to meet a ridiculous amount of amazing people along the way… It honestly couldn't have gone any better.

'ASTONISHING TALES OF... WITCH FIGHT'
Throughout 2014, the final preparations had begun for our debut release 'Astonishing Tales of... Witch Fight'. The LP had finally been finished mixing (over a year later) in April this year and finally being Mastered by Carl Saff @ Saff Mastering in Chicago, USA. Saff is tops and we recommend him to anyone. He really helped give it the low end and grit we were looking for. It's been an extremely long journey, working hard on concept ideas for the art, packaging and bonus items. We were fucking ecstatic to have been given the chance of Working with acclaimed graphic artist, Corlen Kruger @ Corlen Scope. We are so fucking happy with it. Corlen took on our concept with open arms and really brought the ideas to life, almost jumping off the page! He is a truly amazing artist and we're very honoured to have him be a part of our world. Corlen's work can even be seen in the latest 2 editions of the Mortal Kombat series...
As always in the world of Witch Fight, there was unfortunately another big spanner of bad news to come around the mid-year mark and Matty had to make made the hard decision to leave the band but not without a really super send off for his last show shreddin' with us at the Valve Bar for Slaughterfest VII in August. It was an absolutely amazing time experienced playing together and has of course become another massive set of shoes to fill but due to being the flat out super cat that Matty is, time had become a little more restricted of late and decided he needed to be focusing on his home life a lot more these days. It's fairly safe to say that Matty's head may been seen floating around the bar of the occasional Witch Fight show and no doubt you can see him crushing skulls with his main (current) squeeze... Los Hombres Del Diablo.
So after a long and draining kind of year for us, with many unforeseen battles, We honestly couldn't be more excited about the end of 2014 and beyond... It's looking pretty incredible so far.
Set for release on Nov 14th, 2014 is our upcoming debut LP...

God, what an absolutely gnarly year for Witch Fight and we really have so many chapters still to come…Ok, so the good news first…
We played some seriously amazing shows in 2013 with some of the most incredible bands in the country including Nunchukka Superfly, BRUCE, The Berkshire Hunting Club, Wicked City, King Parrot, The Morrisons (Melb), Plight of the Mystical Dugongs, Angry Beige, The Scam, Adrift for days, RAMPS, Skinpin, Dead Boss, Bloody Kids, Neotokyo…Should we keep going with this list?!…yeah, it's been a good year.
It was an absolute honour to be included in the 2013 Devil's Kitchen Festival. It really gave us a leg up and a huge thanks to Skye for the support. We finally made it out of Sydney with our good friends - The Morrisons - from Melbourne for their 7inch launch (It rules by the way). Boskie's 25th Bday show had a killer lineup for the BRUCE LP launch (this also rules - grab it), we unfortunately had a bit of a bunger that night…but HEY…mental patients will do that to us. A killer FBI Radio Interview with the ruling' Mr. Dave Drayton for his segment DEAD AIR (Monday nights from 11pm) which also landed us a lovely FBI Social slot in the Cross, with our final show being at the Annandale Hotel and a killer shoot with our favourite Photographer Lee Stefen! It was a super strong start to the year smashing out shows left, right and centre (selling bucket loads of MERCH) with us finally preparing to hit the studio for our LP across Easter…It was an interesting session to say the least. With 6 broken snare skins in the first day to record 11 songs and pressure, pressure, pressure from time constraints (which in hindsight we realise didn't matter anyway), the gods were CLEARLY "with us" on these days….It's coming one day though, we promise...When however, is a completely different story.
…Which brings us to a bit of a MAJOR spanner that got thrown into the Witch Fight world and probably the saddest news I could think of…
Our very loveable Wog unfortunately decided to lay down his axe for a while and high tail it to QLD earlier this year for a new career! He held a major role in the Witch Fight family and our years of playing together will truly never end. Our musical bond can never be broken and I wish him the absolute best in all his endeavours...You never know what the future holds though.
Having said that, I'd like to OFFICIALLY WELCOME THE NEWEST MEMBER TO THE WITCH FIGHT FAMILY…

Matty has some of the sickest chops around and has come onboard like a firecracker! It's been really great to have someone so enthusiastic come into the piece and continue to work towards our wall of sound!

OUR DEBUT ALBUM RECORDING BEGINS THIS FRIDAY AT THE BRAIN RECORDING STUDIOS IN SYDNEY!
We will be doing as many updates as possible, please check our Facebook page for the most up to date pictures and videos. We are due in the studio first thing Friday morning and will be spending the following 6 days working extremely hard and fast on this LP. We'll be recording to tape and the pressure will be on! So we expect to have a release by the end of 2013 if not sooner.
As we count down the days, our excitement sets in...
We'll take a deep breath as our recording begins...
We've come so far and we've learnt our own ways...
And soon we'll be back with VINYL someday....

We've got a few shows coming up before we pack it up and go into hibernation for the Winter and we'd love to see you all there of course! Holllllyyyy Shitballs!!!! - Devil's Kitchen, what can we say?! - The entire lineup was amazing! Our highlights of the day were Nunchukka Superfly, Wicked City, Yanomamo, Mother Mars, Bloody Kids, Chainsaw Hookers & of course playing our own set! We had such an amazing response and we would like to thank everyone who came up and said we made their day....you guys made our day! - Huge thanks to Lachlan & Skye for organising the show and also to the Punters who made the day possible...Without everyone's equal effort, nothing like this is possible! Thank you for making us a part of a very special day. We truly hope to play Devil's Kitchen in 2014 again! Next up....recording!

So today we had a chat with our recording Guru, Mr. Clayton Segelov out our favourite studio ever, The Brain. He really runs a tight ship and we recommend the studio to anyone and everyone! We're getting really excited about the session and are overly happy with what Clay had to say about the recent demo's and possibilities in the recording process. We'll be heading into the studio for 6 days and hope to come out with our album complete. We're going to be working with Tape this time round, so we're looking forward to running with a new recording process and obtaining that true fuzzzz warmth we're always after!...Stay tuned and keep checking our Facebook for regular updates! I wonder if anyone's as excited as we are for this album?!?!

What a great bunch of shows this weekend! We had an absolute blast playing with The Morrisons from Melbourne. We suggest everyone head to their bandcamp as soon as possible and buy their 7 Inch - It fucking rocks! We had the absolute pleasure of playing with these dudes at Spectrum in Sydney on the 4th of Jan and again in Newcastle at the Great Northern on the 5th of Jan. Sold a shitload of shirts, discovered some amazing new bands and had a really awesome time! - Bring on Devil's Kitchen!

The Witch Fight Pre-Prouction Demorama recording has begun! Of course we picked one of the hottest days in existence being 40+ degrees. The day was a cracker though and we successfully managed to lay down 8 tracks complete! We may or may not upload some of these but you will surely know if it's going to happen...keep an eye out for last weeks gig footage from the Newcastle being uploaded to our Youtube account!

Witch Fight are currently gearing up for pre-production this summer for their upcoming Album being recorded at the Brain Studios with the Master Clayton Segelov in Sydney, Australia. The band will be working extra hard to perfect their monstrous 2 piece sound, primed and ready for tape during their recording time over the Easter period. Witch Fight will also be playing the anticipated Devil's Kitchen Stoner Punk festival on January 12th, 2013 @ The Bald Faced Stag, Leichhardt with Nunchukka Superfly headlining the show early next year!
